Company Overview Our client designs, manufactures, and installs large scale industrial spiral and tunnel freezer systems for the food processing industry. The company partners with food manufacturers and processors across multiple market segments to deliver freezing solutions that improve operational efficiency, product quality, and production throughput. Position Summary The West Coast Regional Sales Representative is responsible for selling capital equipment, specifically industrial freezer systems, to food manufacturers throughout the assigned territory. This role manages inbound leads and an established customer base while serving as the primary point of contact for organizations seeking to expand or improve freezing operations.
Approximately 50% of the role focuses on account management, inbound lead conversion, and relationship development through meetings, facility visits, and customer engagement. The remaining 50% focuses on new business development through prospecting, networking, and outreach within the food manufacturing industry.
The representative will assess customer production requirements, prepare proposals and quotations, manage long sales cycles, coordinate internally with engineering and project teams, and maintain CRM activity to support revenue growth. Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop relationships with food manufacturing companies and frozen food production facilities
Build strong relationships with plant leadership and purchasing decision makers
Evaluate customer production requirements and freezing capacity needs
Recommend industrial freezer systems based on operational and production requirements
Prepare proposals, quotations, and manage the complete sales process
Coordinate with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure project feasibility and execution
Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, opportunities, and sales activity
Travel to customer facilities and project sites as needed
Consistently achieve sales and revenue goals
Qualifications
High school diploma required
10 to 15 years of sales experience
B2B sales or capital equipment sales experience required
