Job Description
Welder Fabricator (1st Shift)
Our client is a growing engineer driven company that creates custom material handling solutions for customers, including the largest e-commerce supplier in the world. Our client started in 2003, and is now occupying three buildings in Coopersville, MI, has 65+ employees!
Shift: 1st Shift
Location: Coopersville, MI 49404
Pay: Up to $24.00/hr. (pay issued based on experience)
Job Duties:
Verify weldments are within specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
Move parts into position either manually or with a hoist or crane
Position, align, fit, and weld parts, following blueprints and layout specifications
Set up and operate fabricating machines to cut, form, punch, and drill components, such as:
handheld plasma cutters
grinders
drill presses
iron worker
Lay out and examine weldments to ensure that specifications are met
Tack-weld fitted parts together
Position or tighten braces, clamps, or bolt straps, to bolt parts in position for welding
De-burr, prep, and tag parts and weldments for next process
Job Requirements:
2+ years of welding/fabrication experience required
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Proficient at reading a tape measure
Previous experience in manufacturing preferred
Previous experience driving a hilo
High school diploma or GED equivalent
18 years or older
Must have a valid driver’s license

Schedule –
05:00AM-3:30PM Monday – Thursday
When work increases, we work 05:00AM-11:30AM on Fridays as a requirement.
**NO MANDATORY SATURDAY OR SUNDAY WORK. Saturdays are volunteer only, and we never work Sundays**
