Certified Welder 1st Shift – Lapeer
Our client, who specializes in fabrication for applications such as brake lines and truck exhausts, is looking Certified Welders for their 1st shift. This position is eligible for direct hire after 90 days. Starting pay: $16/hr. + based on experience.

  • Hard metal, stock, plate welder
  • Must be able to weld thin wall tube (.065-.083) with .035 wire with no burn through and minimal splatter; maintain cosmetic and structural adherences
  • Correctly assemble product to seal and pass ‘pressure-test’ requirements
  • Capable of bench welding and the occasional use of a weld positioner (turntable
  • Able to weld on different types of metal such as Carbon, 300 and 400 series stainless
  • Able to read and understand blueprints is desirable but not required
  • Must be able to perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide; skilled use of a calculator acceptable
  • Must be able to read a tape measure up to 1/16” increments; display mechanical ability and aptitude
  • Have interpersonal skills to be able to work in a team atmosphere; display a positive attitude
  • Must have good attendance
