Lapeer Manufacturer is looking for WELDERS! 1st shift position pay $17 + depending on experience.

Job Description:
Must be able to read and comprehend the English language; Must be able to communicate clearly to supervision and peers;
Take instruction from supervisor and from trainer.
Have interpersonal skills to be able to work in a team atmosphere; display a positive attitude.
Must have good attendance.
Must be able to perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply and pide; skilled use of a calculator acceptable.
Must be able to read a tape measure up to 1/16” increments; display mechanical ability and aptitude
Must be able to weld thin wall tube (.065-.083) with .035 wire with no burn through and minimal splatter; maintain cosmetic and structural adherences.
Correctly assemble product to seal and pass ‘pressure-test’ requirements.
Capable of bench welding and the occasional use of a weld positioner (turntable).
Must be able to weld on different types of metal such as Carbon, 300 and 400 series stainless. Not required but desirable: Able to read and understand blueprints Job description.
Requirements:
Normal operations include being able to properly lift and handle parts up to 25lbs consistently throughout an average work day of nine hours; may occasionally be required to lift up to 75lbs. with team or mechanical assistance.
Job requires bending, stooping and stretching on a regular basis to move or position parts into baskets and/or on racks; position on equipment or in/out of tanks.? Be flexible in job duty: go from one job to another without difficulty.
Must be able to stand at a work station a minimum of 4 hours.
Maintain part identification throughout process;
Must be able to measure, read and interpret checking gages to ensure conformance to part specification;
Consistently record production data on identifying work order and in computer.
Clean production area; sweep and remove debris; put tools and/or equipment in proper location.
Must be able to follow the rules and company regulations as stated upon engagement.
Must be able to follow dress code; no jewelry: earrings, necklaces or, rings that protrude above finger; no loose or torn clothing, shorts or sleeveless shirts; proper footwear.
Must wear welding protective gear and clothing while welding.
