Job Description
Forklift Operator
Location: Coopersville MI
Wage: $16-18 depending on experience
Shift: Day and Night shifts available
Will train on morning shift.

Responsibilities:
Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places or directly to rack
storage
Sign incoming Bill of Lading’s (BOL’s)
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance, including daily forklift check sheets
Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices
Complete any other tasks and duties needed by Management
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines
Competencies
Be able to identify product by size, type, style, color, or product code
Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked
Basic math skills and reasoning skills
Ability to understand and execute instructions
General understanding of the warehouse and footprint requirements
Proven experience as forklift operator for at least 1 year
Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
