Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wastewater treatment facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. This is a Full-Time, Temp-Perm position in Franklinton. Pay will be $20/hr. This is a ROTATING SWING SHIFT position.
Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, and chemical feed systems. Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of water samples. Maintain accurate records of daily operations and report any issues. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment. Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations. Assist in emergency response situations as needed.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field preferred). State-issued wastewater operator certification or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe. Previous experience in wastewater treatment operations is preferred. Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and safety procedures. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
