Job Description
SUMMARY: The primary responsible of this position is to work directly for and with the DC lead, in preparing items for shipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES is to assemble, segregate, package, re-package and label products for inventory and customer shipments. Other duties may be assigned. Provide assistance for the following:
Receiving products into the warehouse after verifying the bill of lading and makes corrections to the goods receipt prior to logging items into the inventory system.
Prepare products for shipment in accordance with specific requirements.
Loads and unloads trucks as directed and moves items to their proper staging area or storage location.
Breaks down products received and organizes them for appropriate storage in the warehouse.
Pulls products for customer orders from stock levels and makes copies of inventory control records.
Assists Materials Manager as required.
Keeps warehouse area clean and organized to present positive image to employees and customers.
Wears the appropriate attire in clean, neat and proper fashion.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions and conforms to all safety rules and uses all appropriate safety equipment.
Communicates with co-workers, management, customers and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Previous experience in basic shipping and receiving techniques is not required but is preferred.
Requires intermediate level computer skills.
Incumbent may be required to work independently with little or no supervision.
COMPUTER and TYPING ABILITY
Working knowledge of MS Office/ Warehouse / Inventory Management/ ERP Software
