Warehouse Operator
Franklinton, NC
$20.00/Hour
8AM-4:30PM


We are seeking detail-oriented team players for Warehouse Operator opening at a leading biotech manufacturing company in Franklinton, NC

Job Responsibilities:
Unload inbound shipments safely, verify product quantities and documentation accuracy, and move product to storage locations.  Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate area.
Pull and prepare product for shipment, or dispersal to manufacturing areas, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Perform picking du-ties in an efficient manner that meets departmental standards.
Utilize and understand all required technology including SAP, SATTline, Barcode technology, and other installed tools.
Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage area into trailers and/or tankers.
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift.  Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Keep appropriate records and product movement documentation to ensure accurate inventory control is maintained.  Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories.  Ensure proper stock rotation.
Perform retaping, processing, or packaging of granulated material in accordance with SOP.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in accordance with GMP.  Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.  Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.
Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
Perform job duties in a manner that supports NZNA Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and regulations, and contribute to improving results in these areas.
Prepare raw materials for use in process equipment and operate all process equipment.
Clean equipment, walls, floors, etc., and maintain plant cleanliness in accordance with good manufacturing practices, FDA and NZNA standards.
Complete log sheets and other data sheets neatly and accurately, as required.  Notify supervisor of all errors, irregularities, equipment problems, etc.
Effectively work with other departments to meet plant and customer needs.
Observe FDA regulations and NZNA standards for personal hygiene.
Responsible for the retaping or packaging of all solids finished goods
Make recommendations for improving throughput.
Assist in planning of batch flows and equipment utilization to avoid plant bottlenecks.
Troubleshoot equipment problems as needed (Utilize Total productive Maintenance techniques).
Prepare maintenance work orders as needed and assist shift mechanics as required to ensure timely repairs of faulty equipment.
Assist in the training of new employees.
Participate in departmental and cross-departmental kaizen events.
Attend Safety Meetings and other required departmental meetings or events
Perform other duties as requested by Distribution Management.
Use Lean techniques to minimize waste in all process steps within areas of responsibility.


Basic Qualifications:

Must have a CDL License.Must have warehouse experience.
He/she must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
Able to lift materials weighing 50 or more pounds.  
The physical requirements also include bending, and turning valves using tools such as wrenches, etc.
Must possess visual acuity necessary to perform duties of position.
Work requires the employee to evaluate work environment and begin new tasks without being directed and assisting other team members when needed.

Education/Special Training Required:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience in distribution/warehouse/manufacturing preferred.  Prior forklift experience preferred.  The satisfactory completion of a forklift training program is required within the first 30 days of employment.  CDL License is preferred.

Other Requirements (Lifting/Working Conditions, etc.):  
Must be able to climb stairs and work in cold storage environment and confined spaces, e.g., loading tractor trailer compartments.
