This is a local Lapeer-based company seeking Tornos Machine Operators. 1st Shift, 5:30AM-4:00PM, Monday-Saturday. Pay is based upon experience. Previous machine experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is required. This position requires mechanical aptitude and ability to do math, measurements and use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers). Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be looking for long-term work. Job Responsibilities Requirements:
Previous experience with Tornos or other lathes used for manufacturing metal parts preferred. This is a very fast-paced position with ability to multi-task machine operation.
2. Measure dimensions of finished work to ensure specifications are met. 3. Loads material into machine. 4. High level of quality control. 5. Must have excellent attendance. 6. Must have some long-term previous work history. 7. Must be able to work overtime. 8. Must be able to stand at workstations for 10-12 hours if necessary. 9. Some lifting may be required.
