Job Description

TOOLROOM REPAIR SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tooling and related items. 
  • Troubleshoot molding issues to determine if there is tool damage or other issues causing problems. 
  • Determine correct actions to take to resolve issues. 
  • Perform necessary work to repair tool in house, while outsourcing as little as possible.
 QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency required.
  • 4 years or more experience in the field of repair work in a manufacturing setting, with knowledge of quality systems and the way they work.
  • A STRONG understanding of injection molds and all their related components, example valve gates, hot runners, hydraulics, etc. and repair knowledge.
  • Tool Repair experience in the Plastics Injection Molding Industry.
  • High degree of mechanical and trouble shooting ability
  • Tool Design knowledge preferred.
  • CMM Experience.
  • EDM, 10 + years.
  • Mills/Lathes knowledge.
  • Demonstrated abilities handling stress in a fast-paced environment while performing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong organization, troubleshooting, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently with judgment, adept at planning ahead, self-motivated.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills required.
  • Some welding, benching/spotting, and machining skills.
  • Required to supply all necessary tools.
