Job Description

Position: Back Up Team Leader
Pay: $18+, based on experience
Hours: 1st shift
Location: Howell
Do you have leadership experience in a manufacturing environment? Are you safety-focused, quality-driven, and ready to lead a team to success? Our client is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee production personnel, ensure compliance with GMP and BRC/HACCP standards, and maintain an efficient, safe, and high-quality production environment. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced setting where you’ll lead by example and drive continuous improvement.
Duties:
• Ensure all personnel adhere to GMP, BRC/HACCP, and company safety protocols.
• Oversee production lines to maintain efficiency, quality, safety, and performance.
• Identify and resolve production issues quickly to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Monitor quality throughout production and verify QA documentation and testing results.
• Report machinery concerns promptly to the Department Manager or General Manager.
• Maintain accurate operator records, forklift checklists, and shift production reports.
• Assist with product monitoring, labeling, inspection of finished products, and coverage for breaks and lunches.
• Lead and participate in team meetings, supporting a quality-focused and collaborative culture.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment before, during, and after shifts.
• Attend training sessions as directed and comply with all company policies.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet production goals.
Requirements:
• 1–2 years of supervisory and quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Safety-conscious and able to ensure team compliance with safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, twist, and stand for the full shift.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
