Travel Requirements: 80% travel total> 50% in DC Baltimore metro areas> 50% in other areas across the Mid Atlantic
Salary Range: $65-95K
Additional Highlight:
$400 monthly travel stipend added directly to paycheck which equals $4800 annually in addition to base pay

Position OverviewThe Surveyor supports construction projects by ensuring all work is laid out and documented accurately. This role involves performing field layout and as built surveys, preparing precise documentation, and coordinating with project leadership to resolve discrepancies between design plans and actual construction. The Surveyor works closely with both field and office teams to support safe, accurate, and compliant construction activities. This role offers growth opportunities into quality control and supervisory positions. Key Responsibilities
Compute coordinates for use in field layout
Perform field layout and as built surveys for foundations piles and structural elements
Prepare detailed and accurate as built reports and drawings
Document completed construction work using surveying equipment and software
Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure survey tasks are completed on schedule
Analyze survey data and assist with resolving layout or documentation discrepancies
Review and cross check shop drawings and contract drawings including structural architectural and civil plans
Support both field and office teams with accurate survey information
Qualifications
Associates degree minimum
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Survey Technician Surveyor or in a similar role
Experience preparing survey documentation and conducting fieldwork
Proficiency with AutoCAD Revit Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
Ability to operate survey equipment and related technology effectively
Professional Land Surveying License preferred but not required
Ability to travel 80% including DC Baltimore metro areas and the Mid Atlantic region
