The Staff Accountant will reconcile and analyze the general ledger accounts to ensure integrity and validity. This role will report to the Controller and will assist in the day to day activities and assist with the month end close, as well as, assist in other general accounting duties as needed.
Schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Salary: $50,000-60,000/yr based on experience
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Prepare month end journal entries and other accounting duties for ensure an accurate and valid close
• Reconcile Bank Accounts
• Analyze ledger-based activity to identify necessary adjusting entries to ensure appropriate intercompany balances
• Assist with special projects upon request
• Perform other duties assigned by management
• Assist in other general accounting duties as needed
• Assist other co-workers and help as needed in accounts receivable and accounts payable. Also assists with the training of new employees
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE • 3+ years of equivalent experience • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field depending on experience • Effective interpersonal and communication skills • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment • Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements • Up-to-date technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards
*4yr Degree in accounting/finance required.
