Job Description
Machine Builder
Our client is the leading manufacturing for the market's highest quality equipment for grinding, shot blasting, and polishing concrete surfaces. Everything is produced in-house by a tightly knit team in the Walker area.
Location: Walker Michigan
Wage: $18-22/hr. depending on experience
Shift: 1st Shift Mon - Fri; 8am - 4:30pm
Position Status: Temp to Hire
Position Summary: Are you mechanically inclined? Do you like to build things with your hands? Do you want to work with power tools all day? Do you get excited about heavy machinery? Are you a diehard diesel fan? Our client is looking for someone with this kind of spirit and know-how to assembly components for heavy equipment ranging between small walk behind units to large diesel-powered chassis.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with power tools to create assembly components for work in process and finished goods inventory.
Follow blueprints & work instructions
Assembly heavy equipment anywhere from a small walk behind unit to a large diesel-powered chassis
Maintain warehouse organization to avoid product error & safety mishaps
Pull orders by identifying part numbers that are numeric & alpha -numeric
Load incoming and outgoing product & stock warehouse
Additional duties as assigned by General Manager or Assembly Supervisor
Experience / Education / Knowledge:
Forklift experience
Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs
Be able to stand up to 8 hours at a time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Punctuality & a consistent attendance
Self-motivated and is willing to take initiative on projects with minimal instruction
Detail oriented
Ability to understand and carry-out directions from supervisor
Work independently with little to no supervision
Assure safety compliance with warehouse regulations
Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines
