Direct Hire Shift: Days 6am – 2:30 pm Pay - $22 - $23 an hour
Location - Brighton MI
We are working with a Manufacturer to help fill a Direct Hire Shipping Coordinator! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all shipping duties and working closely with the production planner and assistant plant manager to ensure all products are shipped on time and accordingly.
Job Responsibilities: • Coordinating truck driver duties. • Creating BOL’s. • Generating shipper request forms. • Maintaining accurate outgoing inventory logs. • Entering item receipts. • Accept and sign for deliveries from carriers. • Assists in unloading and loading shipments from delivery trucks. • Ensuring inventory is labeled currently. • Labeling, sorting and banding all outgoing shipments. • Scheduling customer trucks and coordinating trucks with customer rep. • Shipping product after final dock audit. • Uses dollies, forklifts and other shipping equipment to transport material from loading dock and around shop. • Notify the quality department of any quality issues that arise. • Complying with our quality procedures. • Any other responsibilities deemed appropriate by Production Planner.
Minimum Requirements: • Must have two years minimum shipping and receiving experience in automotive or similar manufacturing field. • Internal auditing experience is preferred but not required • Knowledge of advance shipping notices and bill of ladings • MS Office Experience- (Must be proficient with excel) • Plex experience is preferred but not required • The ability to drive a forklift is required. • Ability to adhere to all safety guidelines (written and verbal) • Great Personality in general, especially in regard to professionalism, teamwork, and customer/ vendor interaction
