Our exceptional and reputable client is currently seeking an Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join their team. This is a contract role with a possibility of hire after contract period expires. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and package sub-assemblies or finished products to ship to customers, vendors or other corporate locations, both nationally and internationally.
Receiving and signing in incoming freight
Packaging and shipping outgoing materials.
Monitoring shipping and packaging supplies and is required to drive the company vehicle for pickups and deliveries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school degree or equivalent
2-5 years prior related work experience in inventory, shipping, or warehousing
Knowledge of shipping instructions for commercial packages is required
Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and effective typing skills is essential for this position
Experience with inventory management systems is required
SAP experience is desirable
International shipping experience is a plus
Must have a valid drivers license
Must be able to obtain a Hi-lo License
Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches above floor level, minimum)
ITAR: U.S. citizenship is required and must have a clean criminal record and be able to pass a full panel Drug Screen
