Job Description
Position: Shipping & Facility Maintenance Associate Pay: $19.50 – $21.50/hr (based on experience) Hours: 7:00am–3:30pm or 8:00am–4:30pm, OT may be required Location: Howell Our client is looking for a dependable Shipping and Receiving Associate who takes pride in keeping things organized, clean, and running smoothly. This role is hands-on — ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a team, and taking ownership of their area. Responsibilities
Perform all shipping and receiving functions, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to load/unload and move materials as needed.
Keep shipping and warehouse areas organized, clean, and safe at all times.
Stock supplies, remove trash, sweep, dust, and inspect/clean dock wells.
Assist with general janitorial duties and facility upkeep as directed.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as painting walls and completing small repair jobs in shipping and warehouse areas.
Conduct grounds checks and ensure safe, clutter-free walkways and forklift lanes.
Use Excel and basic computer programs for recordkeeping and inventory tracking.
Work closely with team members and management to maintain smooth workflow.
Be visible, approachable, and communicate clearly with others.
Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures.
Be flexible and willing to work overtime as required.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Prior shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
Basic computer and Excel skills required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Must be self-motivated, reliable, and organized.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform regular bending, twisting, and standing throughout the shift.
Comfortable with a hands-on, active work environment — not a desk job.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
