SALES ENGINEERDirect Hire Milwaukee, WI area$95-105k The Qualified Professional Technical Group has been engaged to locate an exceptional Sales Engineer to join our client’ s team in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Our client is a world leader in industrial process controls and automation in the heat treatment and combustion markets. They Develop and supply process control instrumentation, sensors, and digital solutions critical to safe, accurate, and repeatable thermal processes. QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Prefer bachelor’ s or technical degree in electrical, mechanical, or metallurgical engineering or other training in this area.
5+ years of technical sales or application engineering experience in industrial automation, process controls, instrumentation, or heat-treating equipment.
Hands-on experience with industrial control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA), oxygen probes, flow measurement devices, and closed-loop control systems.
Familiarity with heat-treating processes, atmosphere control, carbon control technologies, or furnace operation preferred.
Demonstrated ability to interpret technical specifications, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and customer RFQs.
Experience preparing technical proposals, quotations, and solution recommendations for engineered systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a primary technical sales resource for company’ s controls products, including carbon/CP controllers, process/atmospheric controllers, oxygen probes, flow meters, and related instrumentation.
Develop and deliver engineered sales proposals that meet customer requirements for furnace control, automation upgrades, and system modernization.
Support customers within the heat treating and non-heat treating (incineration, glass, etc.) industries, including integrators, furnace OEMs, and internal teams with technical guidance, product selection assistance, and solution configurations.
Conduct site visits to evaluate existing control systems, gather application data, troubleshoot customer challenges, and recommend upgrade paths.
Collaborate with Technical Sales Manager and the Sales Division to ensure alignment on product positioning and customer strategy.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, service, aftermarket, and project teams to ensure accurate scopes of work, proper documentation, and successful project execution.
Prepare and present demonstrations, technical presentations, ROI analyses, and competitive differentiation for company solutions.
Support quoting accuracy by identifying customer needs, estimating costs, reviewing terms, and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while expanding market reach through proactive prospecting and technical engagement.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, customer training, and seminars to promote Company technology.
Track opportunities, pipeline status, and key metrics using Salesforce CRM and reporting systems.
Travel 50-75% as required for customer support, opportunity development, and industry activities.
