Job Title: Regulatory Compliance ManagerLocation:Flint, MI / Remote Department: Fraud and Regulatory Compliance Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Employment Type: Full-TimePay: $24.04/hr. We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead our compliance team in ensuring operational excellence and adherence to regulatory standards. In this pivotal role, you will oversee compliance workflows, analyze business data, and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and regulatory compliance. This role is critical in setting the gold standard for compliance across the organization, fostering a culture of operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement. Create and update policies, procedures, SOPs, tools, and performance metrics to support continuous improvement and team efficiency.
Lead and coach the Compliance Team in daily operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of licensing and regulatory processes.
Oversee workflows related to trade license applications, renewals, vendor onboarding, and business verification.
Analyze business data and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and gaps, and implement corrective actions to optimize performance.
Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to help team members grow professionally.
Set clear goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly evaluating team performance to ensure alignment with compliance standards.
Offer subject matter expertise on complex compliance issues and vendor-related inquiries.
Assign, delegate, and manage team workloads to meet deadlines and service level expectations.
Facilitate problem-solving discussions, team-building initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
Review, audit, and maintain documentation of team activities, vendor and customer interactions.
Resolve escalated customer or vendor issues, including follow-up communication and resolution tracking.
Maintain detailed and confidential records of inquiries, transactions, complaints, and corrective actions.
Represent the Compliance Team in product improvement discussions and relay system updates to the broader team.
Respond to customer inquiries via calls and emails with professionalism, urgency, and adherence to procedures.
Conduct onboarding and training for new employees, reinforcing knowledge of systems, workflows, and compliance practices.
Provide coaching and development opportunities for the Compliance Team in product knowledge, policies, and performance metrics.
Review customer interactions (calls, emails, etc.) to evaluate quality, track results, and provide feedback for improvement.
Provide feedback to management on process improvements that increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Facilitate team meetings and one-on-one sessions to communicate policy updates, company information, and provide training.
Required Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in licensing and regulatory affairs required.
Experience in customer service is preferred.
Minimum Education Requirement: High School/G.E.D.
Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment.
Clear vision for tasks such as reading and working on a computer screen.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone, video calls, and email.
Occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds) may be required.
Quiet, dedicated workspace with minimal distractions.
Reliable internet connection to support virtual communication and work tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Regulatory knowledge within the construction industry.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to organize and motivate a high-performing team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Expertise in workflow lifecycle management.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint).
Ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Skilled in researching and applying updated knowledge in a compliance-driven environment.
Experience in contributing to contracts, transactions, and regulatory reports.
Experience conducting performance evaluations and providing actionable feedback.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on industry trends and best practices in customer service.
Ability to develop and assess team performance using clearly defined KPIs.
Familiarity with ticketing systems, especially Zendesk.
