  • Managing multiple supplier relationships by being their key day to day point of contact to ensure the TenCate site have the required raw material supplies
  • Ownership of requests for information, proposals, contract negotiations, management of payment terms and problem resolution
  • Generate procurement savings and report and take action when required to maintain saving objectives
  • Support qualifications working with internal R&D team in collaboration with suppliers
  • Analysis and improvement of sourcing and supplier management, generating savings within our Procurement savings program
  • Ensure adherence to category strategies, guidelines and policies. Timely escalate to GPD noncompliance issues that do not find resolution with the functional leadership
  • Improve supplier key measurements thought effective use of vendor rating tools and supplier feedback meetings
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on
  • purchasing activities, involve supply chain when necessary. Cooperate with production logistics
  • BA/BS degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related major required; MBA a plus
  • 3-5 years related experience with strong understanding of purchasing laws, contracts, procedures and techniques required
  • Hands on – able and willing to do the ground work him/herself, hardworking, takes ownership and responsibility for work and gets things done
  • Strong negotiation skills required
  • Experience working on cross-functional and cross-business team environment
  • A sound understanding and use of procurement best practice across diverse direct and indirect spend categories
  • Experience in industrial / manufacturing environments, ideally in an industry sector where commodity products represent a significant share of total spend
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a team and with all levels within an organization
  • Proven experience in Operations and/or Supply Chain in a day to day business execution environment
  • Strong communication skills orally, written and presentation
  • Knowledge and understanding of products, raw materials and supply chain
  • Commercial, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and multi-task
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and driven
  • Strong computer skills with experience using ERP systems, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
