Job Description

Summary:Our client is a manufacturing organization that specializes in CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly for the aerospace, defense, and various industrial markets.  They are looking for Quality Inspectors to work on their 1st (7:00am – 5:30pm) and 2nd  (6:00pm – 4:30pm) shifts.  In this role this person would be responsible for conduct visual inspections using hand tools, blueprints and CMM print outs to confirm the quality of the produced products.   Responsibilities:
  • Conduct 1st piece and In-process inspection of prototype and production products.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading 
  • Basic knowledge of SPC data collection techniques.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, profilometers, optical comparator and height stand.
  • Use radius, angle, pin, plug, height, bore, beam and thread gages.
  • Basic maintenance of gages, cleaning, indicator exchange, setting and verification.
  • Ability to use GAGEPack to track gages and maintain calibration records.
  • Monitor SPC data to be sure that the process is in control.
  • Record SPC data internal to the quality department.
  • Perform production inspections, layer checks, line inspections, STP, final audits and final shipping dock inspections as necessary.
  • Support Compliance with the quality policies and procedures (IATF16949 & ISO14001).
 Qualifications:
  • High School diploma
  • Two (2) plus years of quality experience
  • Basic print reading & GDT
  • Basic usage and care of variable and attribute gauging
  • Visual Inspection
  • Basic Excel experience
  • Read CMM results 
  • Experience reading GD&T
  • Understanding of SPC
  • Experience with GAGEpack
