Quality Inspection 

Job Summary: 

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring the production processes and operations to ensure that we are manufacturing quality products.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  1. Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, vision systems etc.
  2. Discard or reject products, material, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  3. Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
  4. Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  5. Able to Record inspection data in EXCEL.
  6. Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.
  7. Work closely with manufacturing personnel on product evaluation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a fast-paced warehouse environment with moderate exposure to dust; limited exposure to excessive noise; climate-controlled environment; and controlled access. 

EXPERIENCE:
  1. 1 to 3 years or experience in the related field.
  2. Entering, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
  3. Near Vision – The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  4. Conducting tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality or performance.
  5. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
  6. Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing work – developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work.
  7. Communication skills – providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail or in person. 

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

  1. Attentive and able to concentrate.
  2. Able to follow directions and procedures accurately.
  3. Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
  4. Good oral and written communication skills, including legible handwriting.
  5. Ability to be a team player and work flexible hours/schedule if required.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
  7. Ability to read and understand applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
