Manufacturing Quality Inspector
Location: Swartz Creek, Michigan
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Range: $15-$21 per hour


Are you proficient in reading and utilizing various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, and indicators? Our client, a reputable manufacturing company located in Swartz Creek, Michigan, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join their team on the 1st shift. Responsibilities:
•    Perform inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process, including in-process, incoming materials, and final products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
•    Utilize various precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, and indicators, to accurately assess and record dimensional specifications of parts and products.
•    Interpret and analyze detailed blueprints, ensuring accurate measurement and understanding of geometric tolerancing requirements.
•    Demonstrate proficiency in algebra and trigonometry to calculate measurements and identify potential deviations from specifications.
•    Utilize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) skills using PCDMIS software or equivalent to conduct precise measurements and generate inspection reports.
•    Display leadership qualities and take charge in coordinating inspection activities to meet production schedules and quality objectives.
Qualifications:
•    High school diploma or equivalent education required. Additional technical training or certifications in manufacturing inspection is a plus.
•    Proven experience in manufacturing inspection and dimensional measurement using calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, and indicators.
•    Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints with dimensional and geometric tolerancing requirements.
•    Strong mathematical skills, including algebra and trigonometry, to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
•    Experience with CMM equipment and PCDMIS software or equivalent is highly desirable.
•    Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies or defects in manufacturing processes.
•    Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
•    Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to manage and prioritize inspection tasks.
