Project Manager - DIRECT HIRE- Sebewaing, MI

Salary Exempt: 60-80K

SUMMARY:

The Project Manager aligns and coordinates operational activities across departments from initial stages of customer Request for Quote through Estimating, Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling, Manufacturing, Delivery, Closeout, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Engineering or Technical experience preferred
  • Metal fabrication and/or machining experience preferred
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS:
  •  PMP Certification is a plus

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Experience in estimating and project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Suite
  • Project management software: Microsoft Project
  •  Familiarity with E2 Shoptech Systems Software
  • High aptitude in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) areas
  •  Computer Aided Design (CAD) aptitude
  • Computer Aided Machining (CAM) aptitude
  • Design — Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materialsneeded to perform a work activity.
  • GANTT/Flow Chart experience
  • English Language: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses ofalternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Judgment and Decision Making: Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive customer Request for Quote, develop scope and prepare estimate.
  • Project planning and execution:
  • Develop customer relationship and maintain communication throughout project
  • Prepare and review design in coordination with Chief Engineer
  • Solicit estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors
  • Develop project timeline in coordination with Manufacturing Manager
  • Establish project metrics and goals
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project
  • Ensure project quality
  • Ensure timely deliver
  • Review and approve final billing
  • Project Closeout
  • Conduct post-project review and evaluation in coordination with Operations Manager
  • Identify opportunities for project/process improvement and record in project file.
