A growing ground improvement group is hiring a true Geotech Engineer with real geotechnical consulting experience. The right candidate brings technical depth, field involvement, and a proven geotechnical background. Pure construction backgrounds are not a match due to the unique and highly technical nature of the work. This role supports geotechnical design and field execution for vibro compaction, grouting, soil mixing, and other ground improvement systems. You will handle subsurface investigations, construction support, data interpretation, and problem solving in varied soil conditions. You will also partner directly with a manager who is described as supportive and collaborative. Primary Responsibilities
Ground Improvement Work Support design and evaluation for vibro compaction, grouting, soil mixing, and related geotechnical solutions.
Site Investigation and Data Work Assist with borings, CPT tests, lab testing reviews, and interpretation of subsurface data.
Field Support Spend time on site to confirm design intent, support construction activity, and work closely with field crews.
Technical Analysis Use geotechnical tools such as PLAXIS, L Pile, Slope W, Settle 3D, or similar programs.
Team Collaboration Work with experienced engineers, project teams, and construction partners to solve technical challenges.
Candidate Background
Education Bachelor degree in Geotech is required OR Civil/Construction Engineer with Geotech Consulting
Experience
2 to 5 yr of geotechnical design or field support.
Geotechnical consulting
Ground improvement experience is a plus.
Comfort in both office and field settings.
