About the Role:
Perform duties associated with the support of the Pressure Sensitive Label Division; washing parts of printing press machines, packing and inspection of rolls of labels, and operating the rewind machine.
Operate parts washer and all tasks associated with supplying the press with clean parts for production
Properly handle cleaning chemicals and follow operating procedures
Inspect and pack rolls of labels
Remove of all trash and scrap from the department
Proper handling of all non-hazardous and hazardous materials
Follow job specification sheet for proper order fulfillment
Follow quality procedures including inspection of finished goods
Perform preventive maintenance as required on equipment
Identify process and department improvements and report them to the team leaders
Support the production department with assigned tasks as applicable
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Apply GMP-rules, 5S, and other compliance/corporate programs
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent
1-2 years’ manufacturing experience
Flexibility in schedule to work in a 3 shift operation
Available to work overtime as needed
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Machine operating experience
Experience operating a forklift
