Job Description
Position: Machine Operator 1 Location: Flint Pay: $17 Shift: All shifts available Machine Operator I is a mid-level position in a printing facility responsible for operating printing presses, bindery, inserting, and related equipment under supervision. Their duties include setting up multiple machines, loading materials, adjusting settings, and monitoring the process to ensure quality output. They perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot basic issues, and assist higher-level operators as needed. This role requires attention to detail, basic understanding of printing and machine assembly techniques, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Duties:
Load paper, ink envelopes and other materials into the print devices and other machines
Monitor print and machine assembly quality during production and adjust as needed
Understand and perform routine maintenance tasks on print devices and other machine equipment and know when to escalate issues.
Identify and address basic troubleshooting techniques during operation
Completion of training modules or courses are required to acquire new skill and knowledge related to machine operation. Demonstrate proficiency in operating several type of machinery.
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
Reliability and punctuality are essential
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational or technical training in printing, machine operation, or a related field
Basic computer skills
Basic math skills
Willingness to cross-train and adapt to changing production needs
Work Environment:
