Job Description
Processing OperatorFranklinton, NCReporting to Production Manager As a part of the production team, you would be working in a biotechnology factory using microbes (living organisms found in nature) to produce BioSolutions which are enzymes (produced by fermenting & feeding microbes) and proteins used in food ingredients. The production operator is key to ensure safety, quality and compliance with the production process. Duties and responsibilities:
Preparing and assuring raw materials are available for use in the plant process equipment
Troubleshooting abnormal equipment and process performance
Operating industrial blending and packaging equipment per SOP, including operation of computerized control systems
Operating industrial lifts including forklifts, scissors & aerial lifts, pallet jacks, cranes and more
Taking production samples, checking QC results
Interfacing multiple times per shift with computers for tasks such as checking and updating production schedules and inventory control transactions
Physical Demands:
Move freely around in a factory and outdoor surroundings, including the ability to push, pull kneel and squat
Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Use PPE such as but not limited to: uniform, hard hat, eye protection, ear protection, hair net, & respirator
Enter & work in confined space
Minimum Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalent
Proficient computer literacy
Ability to be trained to work independently as part of a production team, taking initiative and ownership for completing production objectives
