Job Title: Process Engineer Location: High Point, NC (Direct Hire) Summary:The Process Engineer will report to the Superintendent Manager and collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to product standards, production schedules, and cost-effectiveness. The primary focus will be on monitoring, advising, and improving production methods and staff on the shop floor. Responsibilities:Evaluate, implement, and monitor manufacturing processes, applying Lean Manufacturing Tools and Methods for efficiency.Act as a liaison between Engineering and Purchasing to address material deficiencies and coordinate improvements.Serve as an indirect Shop Floor Supervisor as needed to maintain process procedures and standards.Assist in enforcing Safety & Compliance and take corrective actions as required.Monitor and conduct job training for workers to ensure adherence to process and quality standards.Develop, implement, and maintain the proper use of Shop Floor fixtures and gauges for accurate casement fabrication.Maintain the Manufacturing Layout Flow Support System and coordinate maintenance as needed.Attend production and engineering meetings, taking the lead in assisting and mentoring the Shop Floor for continuous improvements and cost reductions.Establish and maintain an information center on the job site for critical specifications.
Experience / Skills: Bachelor' s degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience.5-10 years of experience in the Furniture manufacturing industry.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD, drawing, and MRP.Self-motivated individual with a hands-on approach, quick learning ability, and the capacity to follow instructions with minimal supervision.Effective communication and presentation skills for guiding personnel on Shop Floor process specifications and standards.Good people skills, including listening and mentoring.Strong organizational skills and energy in problem-solving.Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and new processing developments.
Requirements:2+ years of SolidWorks experience.Degree in Engineering or Industrial Design.MRP software experience.Preferred experience in machine/assembly furniture drawing.Knowledge of BOM structure.
