PROCESS ENGINEER DIRECT HIRE | Clinton, TN $80K - $120K We are actively partnering with a valued client to identify an experienced Process Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Clinton, TN. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic manufacturing team focused on process optimization, continuous improvement, and driving profitability. Position Overview: The Process Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing cost efficiency for all products, optimizing existing processes, and supporting product quality enhancements. This individual will lead process improvements and collaborate cross-functionally to maintain customer satisfaction while aligning with the company’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities: Manufacturing Cost Management:
Ensure gross profit goals are met on each product.
Develop cost analysis for new and existing products.
Monitor product cost variances and maximize profitability through cost reduction.
Communicate with Sales regarding products not meeting gross profit targets.
Existing Product & Process Improvement:
Perform daily postproduction review of manufacturing P&P.
Review formulas prior to first-time production runs.
Develop and implement plans to minimize process challenges.
Collaborate with the Corporate Process Engineering Manager.
Provide support during critical production runs as needed.
Implement continuous improvement methods to meet manufacturing goals.
New Product Development Management:
Plan and design manufacturing processes within the facility.
Facilitate trials for new products in both lab and plant environments.
Approve products for production.
Coordinate with Technical Service teams to develop formulas aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
Equipment Improvement Management:
Determine required parts and tools to meet product specifications.
Maintain inventory and oversee parts purchasing.
Measure and analyze equipment wear and recommend upgrades.
Maintain and create extruder screw designs.
Culture Management:
Coordinate training schedules for incoming engineers.
Train new engineers on role responsibilities.
Promote the importance of KPIs and safety to operators.
Foster open communication between engineers and operators.
Participate in the STOP safety program and Kaizen activities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
3 years of extrusion experience with engineered compounds OR
5 years of relevant manufacturing experience (such as Process Technician, Shift Supervisor, or other related roles as identified by client management).
