Job Description 

Responsible for general upkeep and security of the facility including grounds, machinery and hazardous waste

Instructs and directs the work group to achieve maximum productivity

Receives and discusses work assignments with the supervisor(s) to accomplish the daily tasks

Monitors the work flow agreed upon with the department supervisor(s)

Provides training and development of departmental personnel 

Ensures that all employees comply with company policies, and work & safety procedures 

Promptly advises supervisors of all production and or employee problems 

Ensure compliance of company procedure on Setting Order Points and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) for all parts kept in inventory that assure shortest lead-times and most cost- effective production 

Provides supervisor with information pertaining to employee performance 

Informs supervisor of staffing required to meet production schedules 

Responsible for work accomplished on schedule and in accordance with job requirements 

Continually re-evaluate methods of operation for possible Maintains constant surveillance and control of all parts in process and provides status as required.

Create purchase orders for the department


Responsible for on-time annual budget planning, preparation, and quarterly/monthly review and revision 

Meets with the Management Committee quarterly to review budget plan, capital expenditure plans, personnel problems, employee morale, safety, inventory levels, housekeeping, etc.

Serves as a member of the Safety Committee 

Attends weekly production/staff meeting

Investigates and solves problems regarding quality 

Interviews prospective employees, responsible for selecting and developing  employees

Participates in education on an ongoing basis for professional and personal growth

Recommends wage changes and promotions through the Plant Manager

Conducts performance reviews and completes personnel actions in a timely manner

Performs other duties as needed 



Minimum two years of electrical and plant maintenance 

Thorough knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing 

Must read, write, and speak English 

Self-starter and able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision

Knowledge of products, methods and procedures 

Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Must have ability to keep composure and make decisions under pressure 

Leadership ability, demonstrating positive role model behavior in safety practices, ethics, work habits, attitude and morale

Record of follow-up in all areas of  responsibility

Experience in scheduling, planning, inventory and budgeting 

Effective oral and written communication skills  

Ability to communicate with all levels in a tactful, diplomatic manner 

Ability to listen effectively 

Openness, honesty, spirit of enthusiasm and committed to the goals and objectives of the company
