Qualified Staffing is seeking a Planning Manager for our client in Cochran, Ga. ***This is a Direct Hire opportunity Pay: 80K-90K/annually Position Summary:Responsible for overseeing and optimizing our supply chain planning, forecasting, and inventory strategies. This role will be pivotal in driving operational efficiency and ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and inventory management. Key Responsibilities:
Lead demand planning, inventory planning and production scheduling processes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, sales, warehouse, and transportation to ensure operational alignment.
Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and market factors to create accurate forecasts.
Develop and maintain KPIs to measure forecast accuracy and planning efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to supply planning and S&OP processes.
Manage and mentor planning analysts and coordinators as needed.
Communicate regularly with senior leadership to align on capacity and service level goals.
Essential Functions:
Monitors production to ensure that required products are scheduled according to demand.
Ensures the warehouse has the appropriate levels of raw materials.
Assists in physical inventories at manufacturing facilities.
Places purchase and replenishment orders within required lead times.
Determines optimal inventory position for each SKU/ stocking location.
Analyzes data and makes recommendations on increasing/decreasing inventory targets and establishes ideal safety stock targets.
Participates in inventory planning activities including, but not limited to, ownership and maintenance of supply planning models and/or ERP planning system.
Supports inventory manager in reviewing re-order levels at warehouses and adjusts as required.
Updates committed order quantities for the warehouse on a quarterly basis.
Reviews warehouse inventory to meet the budgeted “Inventory Days” stocking levels.
Works with the production team with last-minute schedule changes, expedited products for special orders, and expedited fill instructions for special orders.
Completes daily updates to the customer service representatives in coordinating when finished goods/products will be available to ship.
Ensures demand plan is shared with production.
Analyzes the predicted impact of new supplier/product launches, product promotions, or discontinuations.
Plans business proposals in a timely manner.
Proactively adjusts forecast and replenishment strategies to optimize inventory investment.
Establishes, maintains, reports, and analyzes trends for Key Performance Indicators for forecast accuracy, demand variability, inventory, and backorder.
Monitors all reports to advise management of changes in inventory requirements.
Prepares, enters, scans, or copies all necessary documents to ensure ease of operations.
Gathers and reports logistical data for the monthly reports.
Follows all safety and security policies and procedures.
