QSS-Ashton is hiring for a Parts Warehouse Associate for a prominent, agricultural equipment company in Adairsville. The Parts Warehouse Associate will pick, pack, and ship customer orders in a timely manner; receive new inventory into the warehouse; maintain the warehouse in a safe, efficient manner while performing duties. The right candidate will have inventory experience as well forklift experience. This position is Monday-Friday and the hours are 8am-5pm.

Please be mindful that this position may require candidate to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Retrieves parts from storage space as directed by pick ticket using proper lifting techniques and equipment
  • Visually identifies part numbers on parts and compares to bar code scanner for accuracy
  • Places picked parts with appropriate paperwork into containers assigned to the order; places container on the conveyor to be packed and shipped in preparation for loading trucks
  • Builds kits of parts as assigned
  • Re-package parts from local vendors as needed
  • Unloads incoming trucks, stages parts' crates or boxes in appropriate area for receiving
  • Counts parts in containers to compare actual count to paperwork accompanying incoming shipment
  • Makes appropriate notations on paperwork to indicate accuracy of incoming shipment
  • Stages incoming parts in appropriate are for eventual storage
  • Puts parts in storage location by reaching, lifting or using lift turck equipment
  • Performs cycle counts or periodic inventories by counting parts in a specific location and comparing count to the count on record
  • Uses a computer/scanner to perform warehouse tasks
  • Ensures that the Parts Department is maintained in a clean, orderly, safe and secure manner and report deficiencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year related experience or training in manufacturing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-40 pounds
  • Must wear steel toe shoes/boots and safety glasses
  • Experience with Radio Frequency(RF) Scanners
  • Experience with forklift, order selector and stand up reach lift truck
  • Ability to work 8+ hours per day in a plant/office setting. Must be able to navigate all areas of the building and facility as needed; may occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds in an office, customer or similar setting; must be aware of surroundings
  • Appropriately interact with others in stressful and busy situations
