Job Description

PANEL / MACHINE BUILDER Our client, a local manufacturer of gauging, sorting, and inspection systems, is seeking full-time Panel / Machine Builder for their facility located near Clarkston.   $20 - $25/hr., based on experienceMonday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm with frequent overtime
Applicants must have previous experience and be able to provide their own tools for these positions. ELECTRICAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
  1. Build Junction boxes 
  2. Wiring Machines to print 
  3. Reading and understanding schematics 
  4. Cutting panel access openings 
  5. Crimping terminals 
  6. Splice wires by hand or machine 
  7. Labeling wires 
  8. Soldering skills 
  9. Voltage and AMP devices and knowledge 
  10. Electrical troubleshooting skills 
MECHANICAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
  1. Fits and assembles components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment, using hand tools and power tools: Analyzes assembly blueprint and specifications manual, and plans machine building operations. 
  2. Lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly. 
  3. Aligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist, and bolts, screws, dowels, parts together, using hand tools, or arranges for assembly by electrician. 
  4. Be able to work without constant supervision or direction 
  5. Be able to document items fabricated from scratch 
  6. Provide own tools 
REQUIREMENTS
  1. At least an Associate’s degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or higher is desired or demonstrated / documented vocational training in these fields 
  2. 5+ years’ experience in related field 
  3. Ability to work under pressure 
  4. Valid driver’s license  
Physical Demands 
  1. Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time.
