Our client in Marysville is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team. Are YOU what they are looking for?

The mechanical engineer oversees major mechanical design, machine optimization, and equipment sourcing/installation projects to meet our customers goals. The lead engineer will lead other engineers in projects and daily activities. This role entails working with associates from the Engineering, Production, Maintenance, R&D, Sales, and Quality Assurance to improve manufacturing equipment, controls, processes, and procedures. The lead engineer must be able to gather information from other associates, machine observation, and logical deduction to implement solutions for equipment design solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Degreed Engineer

· 5-year experience in a relevant field

· Experienced with SolidWorks.

· Mechanical Design savvy

· Able to work with controls designers, and programmers.

· Capable of understanding mechanics at a conceptual level

· Able to create concepts that are sound at a conceptual level.

· Capable of working/collaborating with application engineers to develop products and processes.

· Capable of developing a quote package.

· Capable of analyzing critical design factors.

· Capable of interpreting analysis of critical design factors.

· Capable of managing a complex project.

· Capable of managing a design review with the customer.

· Support internal designers.

· Support all jobs where required with engineering expertise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Manufacturing equipment design/modification experience required
  • Proficient use of 3D design software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Must be able to run and evaluate FEA analysis.
  • Strong technical skills in materials, manufacturing, quality, and design.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electronics and controls.
  • Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics.
  • The ability to troubleshoot using mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and general machine repair skills; and to determine and follow a plan to solve an issue.
  • Ability to build accurate project costing and timelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to complete routine reports and communicating effectively.
  • Ability to understand and interpret documents (e.g., safety, work instructions, OEM manuals, operating /maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, etc.).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to work flexible hours during equipment installations or direct support needs.

EDUCATION:

· Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
