Job Title: Material Coordinator – Production (Automotive Manufacturing) Location: Rochester HillsShift: 1st Shift, 6:30am-2:30pmPay Rate: $19.00+ an hourAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a hands-on Material Coordinator to join our fast-paced automotive production team. The Material Coordinator will perform all necessary functions pertaining to material shipping/receiving and warehouse maintenance. Responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically concerning customer satisfaction. Prepares receiving reports required for all incoming production and non-production material. Coordinates all shipments with Logistics Deponent. Key ResponsibilitiesInclude, but not limited to the following: Coordinator Activities
Makes sure load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks goes smooth
Delegates assignments to material handlers.
Audits all incoming shipments to confirm correct quantity of parts.
Receiving material into SAP.
Sends appropriate parts to containment area.
Rotates all stock to comply with FIFO requirement.
Labels all pallets with Master H.U.
Prepare accurate shipping documents
Process all shipments in SAP/EWM
Sends ASNs
Internal Support
Pull customer requirements per Delivery Notes (picks sheets).
Contact carriers to arrange shipment pick-ups.
Stock production areas per Delivery note.
Perform cycle counts according to given schedule.
Contact customer service team(email) with shipment issues
Ensures that all material handlers work efficiently and reports all nonconformities to supervisor
What You Bring
Minimum 3 years' work related experience (automotive warehouse).
Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work flexible hours.
Must be able to work with limited supervision while performing multiple tasks concurrently with a high level of attention to detail.
Lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly, climbing and bending is required.
SAP/EWM/ERP knowledge.
5S knowledge
