Manufacturing Operations General Manager
Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: Kaukauna, Wisconsin
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and oversee operations in our clients Kaukauna, WI facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented leader to drive process improvements, enhance team performance, and implement Lean methodologies. The General Manager will oversee multiple departments, including Production, Maintenance, Shipping & Receiving, and Purchasing, while ensuring overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lean Methodologies: Develop and implement Lean principles to improve workflows and optimize operations.
  • Process Improvements: Analyze current processes and identify opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Waste Reduction & Efficiency: Implement strategies to minimize waste while maximizing operational productivity.
  • Team Building & Mentoring: Foster a collaborative culture by building and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Master Scheduling: Oversee master production scheduling to ensure timely and efficient completion of all projects.
  • Capacity Planning: Monitor and manage resources to align with production demand and capacity.
  • Safety Leadership: Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
  • Inventory & Production Control: Manage inventory levels to balance cost-efficiency with production needs.
  • Department Oversight: Direct and oversee Production, Maintenance, Shipping & Receiving, and Purchasing departments.
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies and process improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Kanban scheduling system for lean manufacturing experience
  • JIT Inventory management experience 
  • APICS certification a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
