JOB SUMMARY:Our client is looking for a qualified teammate that will be responsible for the development and communication of engineering processes, design standards and best practices to be followed throughout the engineering organization. This position works closely with all levels of the engineering organization and effectively coordinates with other business units. If you have at least 10 years of experience in the defense industry, and have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems) or a related field, we are interested in reviewing your qualifications! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead the maturation and continuous improvement of engineering processes, design standards and best practices to ensure repeatable high quality engineering products
Develop training materials and conduct periodic training classes to ensure engineering staff gains knowledge and awareness
Coordinate within broader (US and global) to ensure brand consistency
Maintain engineering Sharepoint website for timely dissemination of content
Define and maintain KPIs for engineering performance
Create technical presentations for both internal and external customers
Communicate status, results, and recovery plans (if needed) to senior and executive management
Mentor and coach engineers to adopt best practices and foster a culture of learning and growth.
Develop and maintain customer relationships
Undertake other duties as determined by the CTO or his/her delegate

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems) or a related field
Minimum 10+ years of defense industry experience
Experience in delivering large complex US Defense programs
Previous experience with vehicle design, development, and manufacturing
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and/or Digital Engineering
Experience with requirements allocation and verification
Experience in a technical leadership role of a multi-disciplined engineering team
Experience organizing and leading technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMs)
Experience in preparing and delivering briefings to management and customers
