Maintenance Technician
Are you looking to get into the manufacturing industry? Look no further; we have the right job for you! This is a temp-to-hire position after 90 days (with benefits!) Our client, who is a paper manufacturer, is seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician who also has experience operating lathe machines (non-CNC).
This is a 1st shift, full-time position in Greensboro on a temp-to-hire basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing.
-Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment.
-Operate power tools and heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
-Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the maintenance workshop and storage areas.
-Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
-Collaborate with other departments to support facility projects and improvements.
-Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding is a plus.
-Lathe operation and maintenance experience.
-Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
-Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
-Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
-Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 40lbs.
-Ability to work overtime as needed.
-Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to a safe work environment.
