Job Description
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Our client has been in the steel and fapication business since 1964. They have grown into one of the largest steel/metal fapicators in Michigan and they are looking to expand their team.
Wage: $20-$28 based on experience
Shift: 1st Shift 5am - 4pm
Schedule: Mon - Fri
Experience and Responsibilities:
Mechanically inclined. Experience around machinery and/or working on cars.
Experience with welding and electrical.
Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools in a maintenance setting (saw,
drill press, Bridgeport, etc.) or strong willingness to learn.
May maintain and lupicate machine tools and equipment.
May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches or relays.
Motivated, detail oriented and the ability to perform as a team player.
Strong analytical skills, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity.
Ability to manage time and keep key maintenance equipment up and running.
Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
Work Schedule and Environment:
First shift Monday thru Thursday. OT available on Friday.
Wage rate is based upon experience.
Use of protective safety equipment required.
Strong team environment.
Results driven and goal oriented.
Strength – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Environment:
Due to the environment – the following are required: hearing protection, slip resistant shoes and eye protection.
Work area is an oily environment.
