MAINTENACE TECHNICIANThe Maintenance Tech is responsible for repairing, installing or dismantling machinery and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. This will be accomplished through the safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. This position also requires that the Maintenance Tech troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment. The Maintenance Tech is also responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment, such as motors, pumps, valves, controls, and other machines. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair automated machinery maintenance and equipment
Support and complete predictive and preventative maintenance tasks and maintain documentation
Troubleshoot mechanical machine problems
Understand machine setup and operation
Spare parts selection and procurement
Maintain building equipment, such as HVAC or plumbing, possibly through contractors
Provide building maintenance as required
Basic machining and fabrication
Ability to work to blueprints, sketches, etc.
Program and modify PLC programs (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
Create and/or modify FANUC and ABB Robot programs
Provide effective and efficient troubleshooting expertise on all automated machines using schematics and PLC logic
Supervise outside contractors when required and ensure compliance of safety standards.
Maintain basic building equipment and conduct repairs such as lighting, building electrical, etc.
Work with our engineering department to ensure that spare parts, training, manuals and parts standardization are adequately addressed during the installation of new equipment
Involvement in Continuous Improvement Projects
Ensure sub-contractors adhere to all plant safety standards
Support production with machine setup and operation when required
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Proven ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot equipment including FANUC and ABB robots
Experience with Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC & HMI's
Welding skills as well as skills in Arc, Mig, & Tig
Completion of Millwright courses
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
