Lapeer plastic injection molding company specializing in components, emblems, ornamentations, decorative trims and other plastic components is seeking an Experience Maintenance Technician to join their team. To follow all IATF 16949 and 6S instructions. PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB
Notify supervisor of discrepancies in safety, quality, production, and all associated processes
Maintain and repair equipment, as needed to company and or manufacturers standards
Recommend and participate in quality, safety and productivity improvements
Complete assigned preventative maintenance duties
Document and record required data as needed
Maintain company policies and procedures
Maintain personal and company tools and equipment to MIOSHA standards
Other assignments as directed by Management
AUTHORITY
Adjust and repair associated equipment as required
Coordinate maintenance activities in Supervisors absence
Operate support equipment as qualified
EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Machine function and operation
Knowledge of good health and safety practices, specifically Lock Out/Tag Out and any other training/certification or licensing as determined by MIOSHA and/or the Maintenance Manager.
Ability to arc weld well enough to build, fabricate and repair racks, stands and equipment
Correct use of acetylene cutting and gas welding torch
Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical knowledge as needed
Ability to run all types of piping systems
Ability to disassemble, recognize faulty parts and repair equipment
Basis knowledge of 480 VAC, 120 VAC, and 24v D.C. systems and usage on machinery and equipment
Able to run electrical conduit and pull wire for electrical powered equipment
Able to run minor electrical/hydraulic breakdowns on equipment and machinery
Understanding of gasoline powered material handling equipment for the purpose of service and repair
Proper and safe operation of support equipment
Keep good housekeeping “6S” of work area
Working knowledge of machine specific documents
Must be able to read electrical and hydraulic prints
General repair knowledge
Ability to do some building type service and repair
