The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Maintenance Technicians in preventive, predictive and corrective activities required to ensure the complete availability of plant all equipment and systems. The Maintenance Supervisor is a working lead who prioritizes, coordinates, assigns and confirms the completion of maintenance staff tasks. The Maintenance Supervisor must be knowledgeable on Maintenance key performance indicators, such as production efficiency, maintenance downtime, on time startups, work order completion, PM completion, strong communication, continuous improvement, and training others. Ensures production lines and all processes meet safety, quality and operational standards

Effectively troubleshoots, diagnoses and corrects equipment malfunctions for timely restarts based on observation of machinery and applying knowledge from past experience
Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment in accordance with diagrams, operational manuals and manufacturing specifications
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with all company safety and established procedures for machine activation and shutdown
Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to maintenance team as needed
Responsible for following all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for equipment
Ensures completion of all assigned work orders within the time allotted, and maintains complete records of work performed
Effectively supports the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime
Operates machine shop equipment and makes required parts when necessary
Adheres to guidelines established in Bakery Parts Program to ensure adequate supplies of replacement/spare machine parts in inventory
Communicates effectively with maintenance technicians, manufacturing and other departments to maintain “team” status as a “Core Value” to maximize operational results
Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures by all maintenance team members
Acts with a Continuous Improvement mindset and serves as a technical expert in continuous improvement activities
Completes and submit daily Shift Report of maintenance issues and downtime
Willing to work any shift and overtime as required
Performs additional duties as required by manager
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years of maintenance experience
Demonstrated knowledge of continuous flow manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong sense of urgency
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Ability to maintain a positive and composed attitude while performing within stressful situations and handling complex issues
Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, Company announcements and policies, and communicate these to others
Proficient in use of a PC with ability and willingness to learn new systems
Ability to perform according to physical requirements
Associate’s Degree or certification in technical field
