Join Our Team as a Maintenance / Mechanical Skilled Trades Technician
Location: Blue Water Area, MI
Schedule: Full-Time | All shifts available (1st, 2nd, & 3rd)
Shift Premium: Available for 2nd and 3rd shifts
Position Type: Temp-to-HirePay Range (Based on Experience):
  • Level I: $33.75/hour
  • Level II: $35.25/hour
  • Senior Level: $36.75/hour

Are you an experienced Mechanical Skilled Trades or Maintenance Technician with strong troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment? Do you take pride in diagnosing complex systems, reducing downtime, and keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently?We are seeking skilled maintenance professionals at multiple levels to support advanced machining, robotics, and automated systems in a fast-paced manufacturing facility in the Blue Water Area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform reactive and preventive maintenance using CMMS systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems on production equipment
  • Maintain machining centers, grinders, furnaces, and assembly lines
  • Support conveyors, robotics, automation systems, and presses
  • Perform lubrication, filter changes, and routine maintenance
  • Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and pipe fitting systems
  • Maintain motors, gearboxes, and mechanical assemblies
  • Fabricate components and read blueprints
  • Operate tool room equipment (mills, grinders, drill press, etc.)
  • Safely operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and aerial lifts
  • Perform rigging and heavy lifts (Level II / Senior)
  • Assist with welding (TIG, MIG, Stick) as needed
  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement
  • Follow MIOSHA safety standards (LOTO, confined space, hot work)
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
  • Train and mentor junior technicians (Level II / Senior)

What We’re Looking For:Level I:
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in manufacturing
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, CNC controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics

Level II:
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience
  • Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs
  • Working knowledge of automation and robotics

enior Level:
  • 8+ years of mechanical experience (6+ considered based on skill)
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
  • Experience with predictive maintenance tools (infrared, vibration, ultrasound)
  • Rigging and crane certifications preferred
  • Leadership and mentoring ability

All Levels Require:
  • Manufacturing experience (automotive preferred)
  • Own basic tools (excluding specialty tools)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Comfort working in a high-noise production environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Journeyman certification (Senior level preferred)
  • Spanish and/or German language skills
