Join Our Team as a Maintenance / Mechanical Skilled Trades Technician Location: Blue Water Area Schedule: Full-Time | All 3 shifts available Shift Premium: Available for 2nd and 3rd shifts Position Type: Temp-to-HirePay Range:
Level I – $33.75 per hour
Level II – $35.25 per hour
Senior Level – $36.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities
Operate mobile CMMS device for reactive and preventive maintenance assignments
Troubleshoot mechanical systems on production equipment
Maintain machining centers, grinding equipment, heat-treat furnaces, and assembly lines
Support conveyors, automation systems, robotics, presses, torque systems, and gauging stations
Perform lubrication routes and OEM-based filter changes
Perform pipe fitting including threading, sweating pipe, and working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Maintain motor/gearboxes, welding assemblies, and work-holding systems
Fabricate and assemble components from blueprints
Utilize tool room equipment including drill press, Bridgeport mills, grinders, sanders, and welding equipment
Inspect and safely operate forklifts, hoists, cranes, and aerial lifts
Perform rigging and lift heavy loads safely (Level II / Senior)
Assist with TIG, MIG, or stick welding as needed
Move robots to safe zones for maintenance work
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives and preventive maintenance reviews
Follow MIOSHA safety standards including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Hot Work permits
Collaborate with management, team members, and outside vendors
Train and mentor junior technicians (Level II / Senior)
Maintain compliance with IATF policies and safety procedures
What We’re Looking ForLevel I:
Minimum of 3 years verified mechanical experience
Strong troubleshooting ability in manufacturing environments
Basic knowledge of PLC systems, CNC controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Level II:
Minimum of 5 years verified mechanical experience
Strong manufacturing maintenance background
Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs
Working knowledge of automation and robotics systems
Senior Level:
Minimum of 8 years verified mechanical experience (6+ years may be considered based on proficiency)
Advanced troubleshooting expertise
Experience with predictive maintenance tools (infrared, ultrasound, vibration analysis)
Rigging and mobile crane certifications required
Ability to mentor and lead maintenance team members
All Levels Require:
Manufacturing experience (automotive preferred)
Own tools (excluding specialty tools)
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels
Preferred Qualifications
Automotive manufacturing experience
Journeyman certification (Senior level preferred)
German and/or Spanish language skills
