Maintenance Supervisor 

Job Summary: 

Maintenance Technicians in preventive, predictive and corrective activities are required to ensure the complete availability of plant all equipment and systems. The Maintenance Supervisor is a working lead who prioritizes, coordinates, assigns and confirms the completion of maintenance staff tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  1. Ensures a safe working environment for all employees through identification and elimination of safety risks, and enforcement of all safety policies and procedures, targeting zero accidents
  2. Support without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are our top priorities
  3. Ensures production lines and all processes meet safety, quality and operational standards
  4. Promotes positive employee relations, through addressing and resolving concerns, and creates a culture of respect, teamwork, collaboration and accountability 
  • Responsible for the training, direction and coordination of Maintenance Technicians 
  1. Effectively troubleshoots, diagnoses and corrects equipment malfunctions for timely restarts based on observation of machinery and applying knowledge from past experience
  2. Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment in accordance with diagrams, operational manuals and manufacturing specifications
  3. Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with all company safety and established procedures for machine activation and shutdown 
  4. Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to maintenance team as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  1. Able to work in variable temperatures (70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit)
  2. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision and color vision
  3. Able to hear and distinguish machinery noise and audible alarms 

EXPERIENCE:
  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years of maintenance experience
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of continuous flow manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Strong sense of urgency

EDUCATION:
  1. Associate’s Degree or certification in technical field
  2. Experience in use of PLC’s, VFD’s and HMI’s
  3. Previous technical leadership experience
  4. Continuous Improvement, LEAN, TPM, AM, PM experience
