Job Title: Machine TechnicianDepartment: Production
Reports To: Team Leader and Manager
Supervises: Not Applicable
Essential Job Functions:The Machine Technician is responsible for operating plastic blow molding machines and related equipment, performing preventative maintenance (PMs), and completing basic mechanical and process-related tasks. This position will occasionally work with MT 3 and Maintenance. The primary duties include:
  • Adheres to and enforces all established Safety, Health, QA, BRC Standards, and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Follows all Safety Protocols, including Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement (CIP) with the team.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Supplies Production Lines with required materials and packaging.
  • Ensures consistent manufacturing production, performing frequent visual checks to ensure a quality product.
  • Maintains accurate and timely machine operating records, including daily and weekly logs.
  • Promptly notifies the Team Leader and/or maintenance of any issues or problems.
  • Completes other duties as assigned, including GO tasks.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic math aptitude and mechanical skills.
  • Must be able to safely handle lifting weights up to 50 pounds. The position requires standing, frequent bending, and twisting movements throughout the shift.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in manufacturing is required, with 1-2 years of machine operation experience.
Additional Skills and Proficiencies:
  • Availability for mandatory overtime, including weekends.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters, routines, and standard practices.
  • Effective communicator: clearly conveys facts and information both verbally and in writing.
  • Collaborative: proactively contributes to team objectives and volunteers to help others.
