We are seeking a dedicated Machine Set-Up Technician to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have experience ensuring machinery operates properly, producing materials that conform to company quality, efficiency, and safety standards. This position is critical to maintaining operational efficiency while meeting production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate tools, machinery, and equipment as per instructions and specifications.
Select and secure tools, workpieces, and materials using appropriate methods (clamps, wrenches, etc.).
Observe machine operations to ensure performance meets quality standards.
Adjust controls to regulate machinery for optimal performance.
Inspect and maintain tooling, replacing or repairing as necessary.
Evaluate machine performance based on operational specifications (cutting speeds, feed rates, etc.).
Report issues or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
Act as a communicator between departments and during meetings, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Maintain safety standards by keeping equipment in optimal condition.
Identify and handle non-conforming materials as needed.
Accurately complete required documentation in a timely manner.
Keep the workspace organized and clean at all times.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in blueprint reading
Strong mathematical skills
Experience with container movement and routers
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Vocational/technical school diploma highly preferred
Experience with Crippa Machines is essential
Minimum of one year of relevant experience or equivalent education/training
Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
