MACHINE OPERATOR (BENDER) - 1st Shift Are you experienced in machine operation or general labor?  We have a great opportunity in the Lapeer area; Good atmosphere, ability to grow within the organization, and flexible job duties.  This position works with a variety of materials including aluminum, carbon steel, aluminized steel, and stainless steel to form a variety of tubing for the auto industry.  The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with occasional Saturday overtime depending on production needs. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.

  1. Must be able to read and comprehend the English language
  2. Must be able to communicate clearly to supervision and peers 
  3. Take instructions from supervisor and from trainer. 
  4. Have interpersonal skills to be able to work in a team atmosphere; display a positive attitude. 
  5. Must have good attendance. 
  6. Must be able to perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide; skilled use of a calculator acceptable.  
  7. Must be able to read a tape measure up to 1/16” increments; display mechanical ability and aptitude. 
  8. Those authorized to perform machine set‐ups must perform and install safety features to ensure optimum safety for the employee, operator, and equipment. 
 Job description: 
  1. Normal operations include being able to properly lift and handle parts up to 25lbs consistently throughout an average workday of nine hours; may occasionally be required to lift up to 75lbs with team or mechanical assistance. 
  2. Job requires bending, stooping and stretching on a regular basis to move or position parts into baskets and/or on racks; position on equipment or in/out of tanks. 
  3. Be flexible in job duty: go from one job to another without difficulty. 
  4. Be able to stand at a workstation a minimum of 4 hours. 
  5. Maintain part identification throughout process
  6. Measure, read and interpret checking gages to ensure conformance to part specification
  7. Consistently record production data on identifying work order and in computer.  
  8. Clean production area; sweep and remove debris; put tools and/or equipment in proper location. 
  9. Follow the rules and company regulations as stated upon engagement. 
  10. Must follow dress code; no jewelry: earrings, necklaces or rings that protrude above finger; no loose or torn clothing, shorts, or sleeveless shirts; proper footwear
