Job Description
Journeyman Plumber - DIRECT HIRE - Lousville, KY
- Employee owned and you will receive stock options in the company every year.
- Growing company, building another new warehouse/manufacturing site.
- Growth protentional into management, or other areas of the company!
- Monday through Friday, 7-4PM
- Overtime is also expected.
- This position pays $28-$40 per hour (1.5 times after 40)
The Plumbing Journeyman is responsible for providing quality installation of new commercial plumbing and piping systems and components.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Sanitary Sewer Mains
- Drain waste and vent piping
- Water lines (copper, pex, CPVC)
- Natural gas piping
- Fixtures
- Storm drain piping
- Blueprint reading
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare material requisition forms to ensure project needs
- Accurately record all materials received and/or returned.
- Install Plumbing systems utilizing the skills and quality standards as directed by Company policies and procedures.
- Act as a materials runner when so instructed by the Supervisor.
- Follow instructions and directions of the Lead Journeyman in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow the Company’s policies regarding:
- Quality Control
- Business conduct
- Appearance and hygiene
- Driver Safety
- Job Safety
- Fleet Maintenance
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals/instructions and procedure manuals, plan, and specifications.
- Ability to work efficiently given time pressures, heavy workload requirements, varying customer needs and demands and back log constraints.
- The ability to clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and company personnel.
- Interest and initiative in maintaining Plumbing skills through a combination of self-study, corporate training, workshops, and other development activities.
- Current driver’s license.
- Ability to work confidently, safely, and efficiently at varying heights.
- Be willing to travel including out of town stays to complete projects
- Maintain Plumbing license.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive motion involved daily may include, but not limited to bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and squatting.
- Requires bending, stooping, standing, balance, walk, twist and squat to access construction and equipment areas to complete construction/service tasks
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend time.)
- Must be able to handle heavy objects such as ladders, tools, equipment, and other items needed to perform job function.
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
